12/8 Weekly Meal/Fitness Plan

Hi everyone!  Hope you're all having a great Sunday.  I know I've been a little absent from this blog lately.  Scott's been really sick with a cold this weekend so I've been taking care of him and hanging out.  It's also been SO COLD here (it was 4 degrees this morning) and has been snowing like crazy!  I absolutely hate the cold and when it's this cold I feel like the weather sucks all my motivation out of me.  I haven't felt motivated to exercise, blog, or pretty much do anything other than curl up under a warm blanket with hot chocolate all weekend.  I know I've got to suck it up though because it's going to be a really long winter if I don't.  I've always been more of a summer and warm weather type of girl.  I saw this picture today on Pinterest and it really made me miss laying on the beach and paddle boarding.

Anyway, that's enough complaining for one blog post. ;)  I'm really excited to do my meal and fitness planning for this coming week because I'm hoping it will motivate me to be better about sticking to my fitness plan.

Meal Plan:
Monday:  Turkey sausage porcupine meatballs with roasted veggies (I'll post the recipe soon!)

Tuesday:  Cornflake chicken with sweet potato fries (Another yummy, easy recipe that I'll post on my blog soon)

Wednesday:  Homemade gluten free bbq chicken pizza

Thursday:  Lemon pepper tilapia

Friday:  Gluten free version of this crock pot chicken noodle soup

Saturday:  Shrimp tacos

Sunday:  Breakfast for dinner (my favorite easy Sunday meal)

Fitness Plan:
Monday:  Kaia fit (interval training class)

Tuesday:  Weight lifting and bootcamp class at the gym

Wednesday: Kaia fit

Thursday:  Weight lifting and bootcamp

Friday:  Yoga or pilates

Saturday:  HIIT elliptical workout

Sunday:  REST

Hope you all have a great week!

-What meals do you have planned for the week?
-Do you like the winter/cold or do you like summer better?
-If it's cold where you are, how are you staying motivated to workout in the cold?

  1. Oh no! Please give Scott my prayers & get well wishes. Poor guy. This week we have a variety of meals planned. Last night was hummus and veggie wraps since I wasn't in the mood to actually cook. I'm definitely not a fan of cold weather - warm weather for this girl.

    Have a wonderful Monday

  2. 4 degrees? That makes me feel so guilty for complaining about all the snow and temperatures in the low 30's. I miss the sun, and the beach. All of my friends are flying to Florida right now, and I'm planning a trip to Chicago... obviously my priorities are a little messed up.

  3. Can you come cook for me?!?! In fact will you just workout for me too? ;) Everything looks fab! Looking forward to that recipe!

No meals prepped for the week but did make some awesome granola bars just now which should at least cover my snacking :)

    1. Haha I always find myself wishing I lived closer to the people who's blogs I follow. There are so many people who I'd love to workout with or have cook for me (You're one of them! I love all your recipes!) Hopefully that doesn't sound creepy lol. Homemade granola bars are the best. :)

  4. Hoping this comment works ;)

I can't wait for both recipes to be posted. Especially the meatball one it sounds so interesting and delicious too!

I am definitely happier in summer for sure, I just prefer the sunshine.

I am planning on doing Cauliflower Crust pizza, my boyfriend and I have dinner plans tonight with some friends and that is as far as I got with my meal planning so far.

  5. It's 4 degrees where you are?! Ahhh! It's going to be 28 tomorrow or so and I thought that was bad! I much prefer summer, though I kind of hate the humidity soo.....I can't win. Meals for the week include pizza one night (whatever night I'm must exhausted), rice, brussels sprouts, shrimp, also a spinach salad topped with tilapia. That's all I got so far haha. I didn't have time to meal prep as much as I would have liked to over the weekend.

    1. Yeah, it's been really cold here but it should warm up this week...hopefully. All those meals sound really good! And pizza nights are always good, especially when you're feeling too tired to cook.

  6. Brrr that's cold. We are so wimpy in southern california that we complain when it's 50 degrees out. Seriously the news gets all carried away with the "arctic blast" we are experiencing. I prefer summer, but we do have some sporadic gorgeous days here in the winter. It's the best part about living here (and yes it's also really expensive). I don't meal plan too much, but have a general idea of what I'm making. I wish I was as disciplined as you! Hope it warms up soon!

    1. My husband and I want to move to southern california so bad! He lived in Temecula for 2 years and loved the weather there. Hopefully someday soon we can afford it. I'm always disciplined about meal planning in the beginning of the week but my meals usually don't go as planned as the week goes on. Last night we ended up having soup and tonight I'm making meatballs.

    1. Yeah it is! It's really hard to find motivation. I usually just workout at the apartment gym or in my living room when it's like this.
